What makes a twisted loop towel different?
Most cheap car towels use a flat or short-pile weave. The fibers sit close to the cloth, so the towel wipes water across the panel and you go over the same area two or three times.
A twisted loop towel is built differently. Long microfiber strands are twisted into loops that stand up off the surface. Those loops open channels that draw water in and hold it, so the towel lifts water off the paint instead of pushing it around, and it keeps absorbing long after a flat-weave towel is soaked.
How to dry a car without scratching it?
- Wash and rinse the car, then keep the panels wet.
- Lay the towel flat across a panel and pull it toward you by the corners. Don't scrub.
- For tight contours and glass, fold the towel into quarters and wipe once.
- Wring or swap to a dry face when it is saturated. Wash with mild detergent, separate from other laundry, and air dry or tumble on low heat.
